What does my ticket include?

Tickets include entry to House Canteen, food all night, and entertainment.

What are the event times?

Doors open 5pm on 31/12/23 and the event concludes at 2am on 1/1/24

Where do I collect my pre-purchased bottle of Chandon?

Let the team know on arrival that you have pre-purchased a bottle of Chandon Rosé, they will direct you to the exclusive lounge for collection & photo moments. You must enter the event between 5pm - 6pm.

Are drinks included?

Drinks are not included.

 

Important: House Canteen practices responsible service of alcohol. If you’ve had too much to drink, you will be asked to leave – as you would in any licensed environment in NSW. No ticket refunds will be given in this case.

What is the dress code?

While the event is themed and guests are encouraged to dress up, we have a smart casual dress code. Shorts, thongs and t-shirts are okay. “Dress up” is recommended (a lot of people do) but not compulsory. This year our theme is “GLOW” – think bright colours!

Will there be a cloak room?

There are no cloaking facilities available on the night. It’s summer in Sydney on NYE and generally jackets are not required for warmth.

I need to change the name on my ticket?

Name on ticket may be changed once only after initial purchase, please email . Please note, once tickets have been issued, 48 hours prior to the event, there are no more name changes. Please have your name changes finalized 72 hours prior to the NYE event.

What does + BF mean?

+ BF means ‘plus booking fee’. The booking is $2 per ticket.

Can I choose my table?

Unfortunately, all tables and seating are unreserved. This is predominately a stand-up event.

What is your cancellation policy?

There are no refunds due to inclement weather, change of mind, cancellation of fireworks, and/or failure to adhere to any of the terms and conditions set out on the ticket itself. We reserve the right to cancel the event for any reason. In the event of cancellation of the event we will provide a refund less an amount to cover the cost of ticketing. There will be no refund on any unused tickets. If you or your invitees are asked to leave, if you're unable to attend the event or if the event concludes before the advertised finish time.

Is this an over 18's event?

This is an over 18’s event, meaning persons under the age of 18 are not permitted. Proof of age identification must be presented before entry to the event. Identification must match the name on the ticket that was supplied at the time of purchase.

 

What time can I get there?

Doors open at 5.00pm. If you arrive before 5.00pm you will be required to queue for entry until the doors open. Ticketholders can come any time after we open however, we recommend getting as close to the event start time as possible. Canape service and performers will begin at 5:00pm, and you don’t want to miss out on any of the excitement.

How crowded will it be?

Ticket numbers are limited to ensure a safe and comfortable environment with adequate service.

When does entertainment start?

Entertainment starts at 5.30pm and continues all night. 

How much food is included in the ticket?

Your ticket includes canapes as well as access to the dedicated food stalls – all night.

Does this event allow me access inside the Sydney Opera House or Opera Bar?

No. A ticket includes entry to the New Year’s Eve event at House Canteen only, tickets for the New Year’s Eve events inside the Opera House can be purchased through https://www.sydneyoperahouse.com/

Why didn't I receive my ticket?

All tickets to House Canteen NYE party will be emailed to you 48 hours prior to the event. All name changes must be finalized 72 hours before the event.

What about viewing the fireworks?

The Harbour Bridge is the centrepiece of the NYE fireworks spectacular, and the whole structure is visible from every outdoor uncovered area of the venue.
